Surrendering to blackness
Summer feels like autumn
Dried leaves rain down sadness
They never reach the bottom
To and fro above my head
Shimmering wings accompany my sorrow
Hello dragonfly, I feel the happiness you spread
Healing me like Achilles healed with yarrow
When missing you persists
Night passes, and peace greets me
I’m reminded your presence still exists
Resting on the rosemary, it’s you I see
I’m afraid I’ll never see another dragonfly
Then brilliant blue appears; we’ll never say goodbye
