
And the water whispered to the stone,
asking it to move.
And the stone simply stared frozen
and betrayed, and turned its shoulder cold
to the rapid’s roar.
And on it went for many months, the water babbled
louder.
And the stone still refused to speak
or leave.
And smaller the stone became, belittled
by the water.
And now a tiny pebble beneath
the water’s waves, its water friend
moved on
and found a mountain made of stone to climb.
