Poetry- Asleep In Eden

Out among the stars, Eve sleeps

frozen in Eden.

Awoken by a comet crash, her emerald world

comes crumbling down.

She rises from her foamy bed, shaking off

a lifeless snake.

Above her looms a metal sky,

around her, people dream in pods

of paradise.

Through the glass of Eden, beyond

the galaxies of old,

an orb of life sits beating blue.

Eve uproots the iron garden,

transcends dark matter clouds and crashes

into Earth,

bringing forth humanity to freedom.

Never tempted to do anything but live.
