As the holidays approach, why not satisfy your sweet tooth with a couple of tantalizing treats? Better yet, these two recipes are great for gifts for that special someone who loves sugar. Enjoy these!
Buckeyes
Ingredients:
1.5 cups of peanut butter
1 cup of butter (softened)
½tsp. Vanilla extract
6 cups of Powdered sugar
4 C semisweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar. The dough will look dry. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Chill in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler- stir frequently until smooth. Dip frozen peanut butter balls in melted chocolate with a toothpick. Leave a small portion of the peanut butter showing at the top to look like buckeyes. Refrigerate until serving.

Candied Pecans
Ingredients:
½ cup of brown sugar
½ cup of granulated sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon
¾ tsp. Kosher salt
1 (large) egg white
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
4 cups of whole pecans
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees.
Whisk sugars, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Whisk egg white in a separate bowl until frothy. Add vanilla. Coat pecans in the egg white and vanilla mixture. Pour the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir. Spread over parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes. Flip the pecans. Bake for 17-20 minutes more. *These can be eaten by themselves or used however you like.* You can even try them as a salad topping!
