Stuck In The Clouds

There they are

The dreams I have,

They linger on

They make me wonder

They never leave

I’m up there, stuck in the clouds.

My mind is amazing

Here I stand with a million thoughts,

A million thoughts swirl around me

They pull at me

They tell me to think bigger

But some thoughts are not needed

But they’re up there, stuck in the clouds.

Like a bat finds its way

My mind echoes voices,

Voices that tell me of past loves

But where do they belong

These voices make me wander

In my wanderings, I often ask

Are these voices better or worse

But they’re up there, stuck in the clouds

Through these walls

I paint a future I haven’t seen,

A job I don’t yet have

A vision I don’t yet see

But in all of them I’m happy

It’s time I seek the truth

Truths I’ve ignored for so long

They may not seem true

But they’re up there, stuck in the clouds.

Here I stand

My head above the clouds,

My mind swims in memories

Some good, bad

My thoughts painted me a picture

One I can never forget

I wonder what life called me to be

I may never know

But it’s up there, stuck in the clouds.
