The piano has every potential to create masterpieces
To summon tears or slow dances
To some, this is recognized
To the artist, this is a prized possession
And cared for as such
The piano in his house will only ever receive soft and gentle touches
Dusted daily
Yet,
Yet in some households
The piano is nothing but a dust collector
Visiting children are the only ones to give it attention
It’s in the way,
Or holds shopping bags,
Yet it still has the same potential as in the artist’s house.
The piano is no less great
Just because it had the misfortune
Of a household who cannot see
It’s beauty.
