Through the cracks
I see her worth,
Her beauty still shows
The beauty that made us
Every crack reveals strength
A strength even beyond comprehension.
From her beginning
She was created strong,
Her newly woven heart sparkled
Her eyes ready to see the light
Her voice innocent and pure
Yes, she’s a survivor
A survivor worth every ode.
On her skin, I see scars
Scars inflicted by ears,
She survived wars
She survived gods
Legendary battles were staged on her
Her words alone I can hear around me
Should they be silenced?
She must be heard.
She who made us listen
Her story inspired poets,
Her fears inspired pilgrims
A vast ocean she is
I wish to explore her every curve
Her wisdom is more sagely than mortals
Terra, the Earth, you inspire me
Through these cracks
You’re stronger than I can imagine.
