9/11, the day the world stood still
Froze to the TV’s, as they watched the horror unfold
The centre of attention
Manhattan, New York
It’s famous Twin Towers
A horror to behold
The world screamed, they cried
They watched in pain
As they realised, nowhere would be safe again
Today, we remember all those we lost
on the planes and in the towers
as well as the ones on the ground
The firefighters, the police officers
And all the other innocent ones, too!
9/11, we will never forget
We will always remember
The day the terrorist hit back
9/11, we will never forget
All those lost, we will remember
The day the world cried with you
9/11, we will remember
May humanity never let this happen again.
