Shawn is a teenage boy growing up in a wealthy family, comprising both parents and his 4-year-old sister. He was so privileged to have such a family. Though so, Shawn felt pressured and forced to live a very good life and be a well-mannered boy while his friends lived roughly, enjoying their teenage years.
He tried to fight the inner conflicts and internal struggles he had of wanting to live his life peered by his friends. He struggled with the temptations of being a drug addict. He smoked in the hiding with his friends, but pretended to be a good boy at home.
Shawn started to become aggressive and agitated at home, not paying attention to things around the house and neglecting what his parents wanted for him concerning his future. He struggled with cravings around the house, and they turned him into a rebellious and stubborn child.
Later, his parents caught him red-handed, smoking and looking all worked up. They sat him down and wanted to know how long he had been using. Shawn told them that it’s been a year, and as disappointed and crushed as they were, they had to come up with a solution to help him.
They resorted to rehab. Though at the back of Shawn’s mind, he could imagine restrictions and limitations. Nonetheless, they drove him to the institution. Shawn felt trapped both by His addiction and the rehabilitation environment.
The rehab had very strict rules, and he suffered a great deal because the environment was quiet and clean. Later, Shawn came out as a clean man and also worked towards maintaining it.
