Nomie grew up as a pretty little girl. She lived happily with both her parents. One silly day, when Nomie’s dad fetched her from school, she gave her sweets and an R5 and told her they would do something at home, and she must not tell a soul about it.
Nomie’s father repeatedly sexually abused her without anyone’s knowledge, and she was afraid to report him. Nomie was embarrassed to let anyone know of such a filthy incident and also feared not being believed and being rejected.
The ordeal lasted for years until Nomie was old enough to run away from home as an escape to freedom. She rented a room far from home and started working in a retail shop. She was still determined to make a better life for herself.
Years went by, and her parents always wondered why she escaped home. Her father kept quiet, knowing the cause of it. Her mother continued to live her wistful life, trusting that one day she would show up and state the reason for her escape.
One crazy day, Nomie decided to drive her new luxurious BMW car and go home just to prove a point, especially to her father, who tried several times to destroy her future.
Jaws dropped, and their faces froze. Nomie greeted them with a welcoming smile. Her father had a mixed expression of awe, shock, confusion, and fear. She sat down and opened a can of worms for her mother. With tears flowing down her cheeks, Nomie’s mother kicked the naughty father out of their house. She then turned to Nomie and apologized for being too blind to see. They both hugged and reconciled.
