Ah, the stresses and the strains,
of course, I must refrain,
from letting it in,
how it all begins,
to take a toll,
of mind and soul;
a lingering itch
was once a glitch,
but now the wrinkle has deepened still
and all that was rational is supplemented by a pill;
no longer has character a place in line,
a twinkle in the distance,
endeavoring to stand the test of time.
