Poetry- Among The Thousands

Among the thousands

I see you,

The veil that once was

Is nothing but ash

These memories I held dear

Still haunt my dreams.

In your heart

You held me dear,

In your arms

You kept me warm

How can I forget

The one who loves me

It is but impossible.

If you were here

My heart would rejoice,

In my eyes

You are the beauty I need

In this heart

You warmed me

Now, only frost remains

Frost in a once warm heart.

Whatever love calls you

I’m ready to answer,

Dearest Cupid, I beg you

Let your arrows stun me

Let me feel love once again

I beg for love

A love I once had.

Aphrodite

Daughter of love,

Let my eyes see

Let my ears hear

Let me hear her songs again

I plead with a heart once warm

Let my warmth be seen

In these words

A pilgrim pleads.

Dearest muse

Hear this lonely soul,

Hear my plea

Leave no heart unturned

Until my soulmate finds me

A plea for love

Is a plea for all

Hear my words, dearest Cupid

Bring my Juliet

Let me be her Romeo.
