This may be the best book I have ever read… no, correction, this is the best book I have ever read. The overall cozy and comforting feeling this book gives me is unmatched by any other book.

Archer’s Voice is a contemporary romance novel. In this story, we follow Bree Prescott and Archer Hale, two people struggling in their ways. Archer Hale is a shy, introverted man, whom his hometown of Pelion, Maine, chooses to ignore. Bree Prescott is new to the town and determined to understand the mystery of Archer Hale. However, Bree has some secrets of her own.

This book is just a pure masterpiece to me. Since reading it, I have not been able to find something that feels similar to it. Archer is a character that holds so much kindness and just wants to show his love to someone else. He has this golden retriever energy about him that made me instantly fall for him. The hesitation he first has when Bree stumbles into his life is something I found to be easy to relate to. Everyone has fears in life, and a very real fear is letting people in. When you have been hurt time and time again, you start to lose that faith in humanity that so many people believe in. Archer has been hurt by so many people in his life that should have protected him. So, when Bree comes along, he is intrigued but cautious. Bree wants to know why he holds so much mystery and why the town has no love or kindness for him. Bree and Archer start to form a friendship, which then leads to much more. I loved seeing how they complemented each other and tested each other at times. Archer finally getting the love he deserves was one of the most rewarding things I have ever read. I also enjoyed seeing how Bree learned in the process of helping Archer move on from his past; she was able to move on from her past as well.

Archer is a character that I will hold with me for the rest of my life. His willingness to be kind and show love towards a town that treated him with the exact opposite is something I strive to obtain. Archer taught me to not only work on myself but to accept that it is okay to love, even if that fear of pain and loss is there. Because one epic love is better than never getting to experience that kind of love at all.

Honorable Quote –

“I’m afraid to love you. I’m afraid that you’ll leave and that I’ll go back to being alone again. Only it will be a hundred times worse because I’ll know what I’m missing. I can’t…” He sucked in a shaky breath. “I want to be able to love you more than I fear losing you, and I don’t know how. Teach me, Bree. Please teach me. Don’t let me destroy this.”
