Standing here, I remember the times
Those times when my heart soared,
In them, you were the melody
A melody that never faded
Now all there is just silence
A silence deafening beyond time.
Writing for you was my awakening
Now in this slumber I can’t dream,
Your touch was my medicine
But now I’m empty like never before
All these memories are but wasted.
Lighten this load
Make my heart sing once again,
In each verse, this song is broken
I hear blues when I need to be hyped
I hear nothing but sadness where happiness dwelt
A sadness I can never wish for another.
Here I stand
A lover without his muse,
A poet without his inspiration
A melody without symphony
What’s the use of an instrument without a player
What’s an orchestra without a maestro
What’s a rhythm without you
I ask all these because I miss you
Here I am dancing without a melody.
