I’ve heard it said.

“Wherever you go,

There you are.”

Across so many moons

I’ve tried to run,

To run from myself.

The race was fruitless,

For “Wherever you go,

There you are.”

In India, Nepal, and even Laos

I thought I’d lose myself,

But instead, I found

Another side of me,

For “Wherever you go,

There you are.”

Then one day, I stopped

And planted my feet down.

I feared my spirit would skip ahead,

But she nestled down inside instead,

For “Wherever you go,

There you are.”

Now we tango through the nights,

My sacred soul and me,

Caught up in the endless music,

Forever linked in every step,

Accepting that, “Wherever you go,

There you are.”
