In a sky full of stars,
I would stare at the darkness.
It’s a rough reflection of my heart.
I would rather stare at the clearness of the night,
It reflects how lonely my life truly is.
No contacts on my phone.
No one to hold when the night is turning cold.
No one to cling to when the days are gone broad,
no one to truly know.
It’s insane how I live yellow but bleed blue.
No, I won’t say I need you either,
I won’t cry in your arms when my feelings shudder.
You only exist in my fire
But, you seem to be the only person I call upon when negligence knocks on my door, and I am freezing from wild, breaking desire.
My stomach churns at the word “safe.”
As that’s a foreign word that I now choose to neglect.
Hard to pronounce,
harder to feel,
am I an alien in the realm of feel?
Crawled out of my thorns and called thunderstorms home.
