The Power Of No

My mother used to say, “What’s the worst they can say?” No. She would say, ” You don’t know unless you ask! It hurts, and we get nervous; the fear of rejection is real. Quite often, it keeps us in the same place. We are too scared to move forward.

No is not always a bad thing. It can be a gift. Think where you would be if yes were the answer to everything you wished for. I am unsure exactly where I would be, but I can guarantee it would have been terrible for me.

That ex we think we can’t live without? Would you still want to be with them now? Did you meet someone better? Or the job you were bummed about, that you weren’t chosen for. Looking back, so many things I wanted are laughable now. Over time, we change our wants and needs.

A loss can be a win! Yes, you heard that right. Not getting what we want opens the door for better opportunities. Ones that we did not even know existed. So, next time you are experiencing a big loss, remember, a win is around the corner. Every no opens the door for another yes!

When one door closes, another door opens.
But, sometimes you have to knock on a lot of doors until you find one that swings wide.
And, when all else f!ails, kick the darn door down!
